Brittany Klassen was born and raised in beautiful Saskatchewan. Her love for animals began at a very early age. She has always had animals in her life, whether it was a dog, a cat, fish, hamsters, or even horses. Her enormous loving care for animals inspired her to start drawing.

Of all her animals, her horses are above all her favorite. Having wanted a horse ever since she was little, like almost every other little girl, Brittany was fortunate enough that her parents’ move to the country allowed this dream to become a reality. Willow, her first horse, inspired her to take art more seriously.

Brittany started attending art classes, but she felt that in a classroom type setting she wasn’t getting the help she wanted. So she started attending private art lessons where she learned half of the skills that she knows today from a very special teacher and mentor, Sheri Gordon. Brittany loves going to Sheri’s not only to learn but because they share the same love for horses. Sheri has played a huge part in Brittany’s art career and if it wasn’t for her, Brittany might not be as far as she is today.

Brittany has been entering her artwork every year since 2000, and will continue to do so, in the Saskatoon Exhibition Art Show, Equine Art Guild 2002 exhibit, and in the annual Reflections of Nature Art Show, where she has won several ribbons. She has also hosted her own solo exhibit in the Center East Galleries in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
